i dont want head phones b/c i cant hear whats going on around. something like small tweeter speakers on the dash area . but i dont no how to power them. is there some way a can have the small speakers on the dash and and the mp3 player and power it off the bike?
something like this but damn $400 http://www.shorelineinternatio...s.htm
right, right, So...what kind of speakers you planning on using? C'mon, mp3 on a sports bike?? All I want to hear is my bike revving. Why dont you just save youre money on that and get a small camera and mount it on the back of youre bike, so that way you wont have to turn youre neck to look whats behind you.
Don't even waste your money. If you've got a pipe on then you're not even gonna hear it at idle. Let alone while you're riding.

only reason you'd have that is if you had a cruiser. my dads bmw 1150rt has factory speakers. they dont have stereo to play off of, its an option to get an am/fm/tapedeck installed from factory. he didnt like that so he got his own cd player (bike has its own compartment for that). stereo is fine on his bike b/c of big windshield, he can actually hear it. he says he cant really hear it on freeway, but he usually takes twisties so works out fine

You don't want headphones because then you can't hear, but then you'd have to turn the speakers waaaaaay up just to hear them while riding! And then you'd still only hear the speakers. If you absolutely must have music, just get speakers that install inside your helmet (HJC comes to mind) and keep the volume low. But then you might be trying to hard to listen to what's playing, and not concentrating enough on rid...dammit, just don't bother with listening to music while riding.

Music while riding is another leading cause of accidents and fatalities on bikes... anything that takes your full attention off the road wouldn't be something I'd recommend
I find myself singing softly when I ride, it's pretty annoying cause I can't stop doing it. It's all about the stunnin though, get some high quality speakers for that tank stereo and bump that **** when you're going through a parking lot

You can do that? I'm gonna check that out because it's really hard to look behind you when you're trying to make evasive manuevers.

If you have a chatterbox on your helmet you can just plug an Mp3 player into it. I do that once in awhile if I have to go on a long ride or something.

I sign loudly, so everyone can hear. Usually I'm singing "backstreet's back ALRIGHT!" Or my new favorite from Britney Spears, "Toxic."
People used to make fun of me, but now they just gawk in amazement.
It must look pretty damn intimidating riding a purple bike, with pink wheels, and rainbow colored streamers taped on the sides of my grips.
I suggest this guy just gets singing lessons.

My friend has that on his bike, and he can record **** too, so he just rides up front while his friends are in the back doing stunts or on the twisties.
Although it's not very safe, do like someone mentioned, and get an mp3 player and some headphones, it's good for long rides, but I would take one of the earpieces out, or keep it on really low volume so you can still hear your bike.
