get a 2 layer d16y8 gasket or get a 3 layer d16z6 gasket and remove two layers
I haven't done it, don't know how well it works, but heard about it here at HT

Cometic makes them in a number of diff thicknesses
If you're going HIGH C/R make sure head and Block mating surfaces are FLAT and clean
