Default B16A problems!!

I have a JDM 92-95 B16A that I swapped into my 99 hatch. Having major problems.
Parts list:
CTR ECU- OBDIIb (used, ebay)
CTR pistons and rings on stock rods (new)
99-00 Si distributor (used, ebay)
99-00 Si wire harness (new)
Spoon valve springs and head bolts (new)
Spoon 70mm throttle body (new)
Spoon Ventuli Plate (used, came with engine)
Spoon cooling parts…thermo/thermo switch/cap (new)
Toda flywheel with Exedy organic clutch (new)
ITR intake setup (new)
No cat

Everything else is stock on the engine. It ran great for 3 days that’s it. Problem! First, when vtec kicks in at 6200rpms it would jerk or kick in and out with a strange noise. Don’t really know how to describe it! Second, it’s pushing coolant into my overflow tank. It’s not smoking white or anything, so I don’t think it’s the head gasket.

Anyway, now it’s to the point where is it making the strange noise at 3000rpms on up and jerking. It seemed to get worse with the cold weather. Well, there’s my problem. I just hope I didn’t F anything up! Are my parts compatible with each other? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I did check the timing a number of times. Even took it to the honda dealer, with no luck. I'll try again though, thanks

First check your oil. Coolant level. Then electrical connections. Pop your distributor cap and look for anything unusual, like a loose rotor. If it's pissing coolant back into the overflow, you could have a bad radiator cap. A blown head gasket is also a possibility.

When I first got it on the road it was runnig fine. I could take it 8900rpms with no problems. Now it barley gets past 7000rpms when driving and it really jerks you around. Sitting it can rev to 8000rpms with no problems.

Alright, I worked on it today. A little about my 99-00 Si distributor. I got this distributor off ebay and when I got it, it was missing a bolt/screw to hold the cap on. I took the cap off and out falls the rotor. I looked at it some more and some of the screws to the igniter were messed up a little and it was missing the dust cover. I replaced the dust cover, cap, and rotor before i did the swap. After I dropped the engine in it wouldn't start, so I replaced the igniter with my D16Y7 one and it fired right up. Well, today I pulled the distributor off and I notice the coil was missing the srping that makes contact with the cap, so again, I replace the coil with my D16Y7 one. Both the igniter and coil shared the same ID or part #'s. Is this OK?

Anyway, the car seemed to run a lot better, but still seems to have some hesitation or missing 6200rpms on up to 8900rpms. I'm not postive if vtec is engaging or not. I would imagine it is, cause I can't see it making it to 8900 with out vtec. It's still pushing coolant into the overflow tank too. I also notice a random tapping or clicking at idle.

mite wanna get a new distributor or have someone rebuild ur current one. if ur gonna spend the extra money on spoon cooling parts, which u dont really need, u might as well spend some on the basics. one of the honda-tech sponsors has a post with good prices on obd1 dizzys.

I hope not! I put the side that read "UP" up and I can read the part# on the head gasket.
