I'm trying to diagnose the problem with my antenna. When I switch to radio on my aftermarket deck the antenna doesn't go up. I hear noises sounding like it's coming up but it doesn't move. Do I need to replace it, clean it, or there's something wrong with the electrical wiring? All help is appreciated. Thanks.

 

If you hear the motor running then you need to replace the antenna it self.

 

So just the mast correct? That should be fairly inexpensive? Thank you.

 

Yea just the mast they sell them at like pep boys ect..

 

If the mast gets even the slightest bend, it will stick. Replace it.
