so i swapped a DX motor into my CX hatch. I dropped the motor out of the DX myself, complete drop, didnt take ANYTHING off that i didnt have to, (hoses, lines, sensors). Now when i put it into my CX, these problems came up:

1: the Idle control valve on the back of the manifold sticks, or something, theres a weird buzzing noise comming from it when the sensor is plugged in, and the motor starts, and dies, starts, and will idle at 900rpm, then shoot up to 1500... I changed it out with another one i had, and it fixed it temporarily, and now its doing it agian.

2. Lots of popping and shaking exhaust with blue smoke. the exhaust has been cut and re-welded a couple times, and im not so sure its completely sealed... pretty sure there are more than one leak in it... would this cause the popping and shaking?

3. a clicking noise starts, comming from the rear of the engine, under the intake manifold when it warms up... WTF?

4. I drove it around, and it bogs out and loses power at some times, with blue smoke out the tail pipe.

Now, i dont know what the hell is going on, becuase the guys car i took this motor out of ran like a champ before we dropped it. No smoke or anything

I am missing a lower drivers side mount, so this could add to the shake of the exhaust... but as to the other problems... im clueless.

 

do you have any trouble codes?what ECU are you using?

which ecu, harness are you running?? Any Cel's?

 

no CEL's im running a DX ECU. there is a cut wire on the ECU that i cant find the other end to... it could quite possibly be the problem... but no CEL?

 

a cut wire... WTF??

that's probably causing some problems...

what year engine & chassis....
