<FONT COLOR="royalblue"> Here is what you need:
Tranny, Shift linkage, clutch cable, flywheel, drivers side axle, ECU from a 86/87 5 speed if you have an 86/87 EFI or 88/89 5 speed if you have an 88/89 EFI (the 86/87 DON'T work with 88/89's), clutch pedal and springs and switch, brake pedal (manual ones are smaller), manual tranny mount, gauge cluster (if you want to get the one with no P,N, D, etc lights). Make sure you get a new clutch and release bearing, and resurface the flywheel.
There is a plug you disconnect when you remove the auto shifter which only lets the car start in either P or N so you have to jump these two wires. The plug has two wires and they are both black. Also, the reverse light switch is a part of the auto shifter too. There are two wires sticking out of the 5 speed tranny so you have to use those to get the reverse light to work. It's basiclly an "in" "out" thing and not +/-. When you throw it into reverse, the internal switch completes the connection so the current can flow in from the male wire and out the female wire. So you need to plug in a wire from a fused 12V power source to the male tranny wire and a wire that goes from the female tranny wire to the main reverse light + wire.
