well recently my cars been making a weird sound when the car is not in gear/clutch pedal pushed in.... its like a rotating sound? its hard to describe, is there anything that causes this?

its coming from the tranny.. and it happens when the clutch pedal is not pushed in... as in sitting there not in gear, no clutch pedal pushed in

 

that would be your imput shaft bearing

 

hmm... so thats not hard to replace... at least it wasnt in my crx... or is this something altogether different?

 

u gotta crack the casing open, not sure how to replace it though, i have to do mine soon also

Yeah same thing is happening with my cx hatch. I heard it might the alignment of throwout bearing. H22 on the way so not interested in fixing but would like to know what it is. Ive been running mine like that for a good 4 months now so dont worry about it breaking. just make sure you have oil in the tranny.

 

Yep definatly sounds like a throwout bearing.

 

Anyone else have opinions on this one? Wondering what that noise is.
