My friend just drop a jdm d15 in his hatch dx, full stage 3 bullfrog head package and its throwing a CEL code 19 and burning alot a fuel like we pulled the spark plugs which were new like 4 weeks ago and they were black...i seached and found out its because its a auto p28 so if my friend put a manual one on there it should be find then right?? y is it burn so much fuel and running like ****?

 

19 Automatic transmission lockup control valve.....he is running his stock dx tranny which is manual i dont get it....help anybody....thanks

 

The automatic ECU is looking for the auto tranny - that's why the code 19. You can either get a manual ECU or convert the auto to manual specs:

i sold my friend a p28 for his car but it was for a auto.. and he did sumthing to change it so it would stop throwing the code.
i guess he made it for a manual ill try 2 find out what exactly he did
