Little help...
Hey everyone I am in a debate here, and I need some suggestions. Well I have a 95 Prelude and the current motor is a JDM F22B DOHC, after the damn h23a shitted out on me.
Anyways I commute to college 2-3 times a week, and that is like 20-30 minutes from my home, this is not including the commute to work as well which is only like 5 minutes away
. I was planning on purchasing a h22 and go NA with the motor, and was gonna build it before I put it in since I have a running motor already. I was planning to use most of the JUN setup with ITB's and other stuff too, but lately I have been questioning myself maybe I should just turbo the F22B. I wanted a NA engine because eventually this will turn in to a circut car, and wanted the good throttle response of a NA engine on the course. Maybe running a basic turbo setup like T3/T4, will be good on the course? Send any suggestions my way.

If you are truely planning on running your car on the track...I wouldn't turbo the car. You really don't even need to mod your car that much. Just get a VTEC swap, a few basic bolt-ons and you should be set. If it is good enough for Corey...I am sure it is good enough for the rest of us.
I am doing the samething you are. I am almost done modding my car. I have a VTEC swap, AEM intake, high flow cat, Thermal cat-back, GC coilovers(getting), KYB AGX shocks, Neuspeed upper strut tower bar, and Ultimate brake pads. Last thing I am going to get is a header a little later on down the road and the car should be done.
If you are mostly in it for the driving expereince, you don't need to do anymore mods than this.
After this, all you need to do is mod the driver.

Thanks a lot, just wondering are there restrictions for modifications, on the track? I know there are different classes what class would you guys be running in?
I just started. Last year was my first season. I mainly do DEs (Driving Events).
Honestly, I don't think this is the best place to ask. You are mainly going to get responses from people who mod their car for sheer horsepower and only use it on the public roads.
I think the best person to ask is Corey (honda318dx). He is an EXCELLENT driver and does only the mods necessary for road racing.
P.S. I am giving you advised based on my background. I want to become a better driver....not be a pioneer in modding Hondas. I want to be able to drive any car fast...not just my modified Prelude. I get enjoyment out of modding my car too....but modding my driving skills is my primary interest. You might not have the same intentions as I do so my advice might not be the best.
I mod my car to extract as much power as I can without compromising the reliability of the car and the engine.
Hope I helped, if at all.

Yes thanks for the help I"ll talk to him, I feel like I am in the same boat. I would like to extract decent HP number but have it handle great on the track and drivabilty not sacraficed.
