Wierd Exhaust noise after spark plug wire came off, and will not go away!!!
Think I am OK, but give me your info please.
Here are the results of the Compression Test.
No. 1 = 193
No. 2 = 197
No. 3 = 187
No. 4 = 185
I rebuilt the engine about 1800 miles ago. I has been really strong! Day before yesterday, It fouled out at about 8k rpms. I checked the plug wires on the dist. and one felt like it was not on good. I pushed it back on and the car still isn't right. It doesn't really feel like it has lost power but the sound of the exhaust sounds like it is missing slightly. I have replaced spark plugs, plug wires, cleaned the dist. contacts, checked timing, and now I have done a compression test.
Do you think that when the cylinder fouled out raw gas may have entered the exhaust and ignited, affected the sound of the muffler. I have checked for leaks in the exhaust also......NONE. I have a muffler straight from the header.
Give me anything!!! Thanks!!!
