Default AC filter replacement

I don't have a service manual, can anyone tell me how/where the AC filters go? I already have them ($70.00 worth) and need to install them finally but don't want to disassemble the dash blindly looking for their location.

Thanks!

whatta ya mean by filters?, theres a desecant bag inside the accumulator that acts as a filter. well regaurdess of what you do you'll have to uncharge the system, then recharge it once you are done. if you have no idea wht you are doin you should prly have a shop do it

The air conditioning system filters the air inside the car just like a house using two small air filters. I'm sure they are in line in the duct system behind the dash, just not sure where they are. The previous owner of my car had a dog and even though I removed the seats and scrubbed the carpet etc. The air filters should be replaced too.

I doubt I'll find any help, most people don't replace things they don't have to. Check your owner's manual, replace every 30,000 miles. I need to do this to my wife's 2002 Accord as well.

I tend to keep my cars in perfect condition, not just the engine.

I would buy a Helms.. at the very least get a haynes from the local auto store or bookstore... it will be worth the money on all the time you will save running to buy replacements for parts you break working blind...

good luck.
