Default **Tuning in or around MO?**

Just like it says. So far seems my only option is Forward Thrust in Lees Summit. Haven't heard any good or bad. Just wondering about my options. Where would you go if you lived in SW MO?

None yet. I am planing out a turbo set up for my GSR. Since I plan to do the install myself I guess I will hook up an FMU to be able to drive it to a shop. Froward Thrust is about a 5hour drive. I want to use hondata and have it professionally tuned since I want it to run perfect and last along time. Set up will probably be similar to a drag kit but with a different mani and WG. plan to run a 1g DSM bov and 350hp precision FMIC. Haven't decided on a turbo, mani (maybe a side winder), or WG yet. I will have to read more first. Right now I am trying to figure out what turbo will work well for me. I don't want something real laggy since I plan to run low psi. But not limiting either, like a Gredy kit. All will go on my '01 GSR, stock motor/internals and run like 7-8psi. Just trying to plan this all out and need a good tuner as it has to be super reliable. Thanks for the responce.

good luck... MO is lacking on tuners.

probably gonna have to make a trip with your ride to be tuned.

Dale at Forward Thrust is great with Hondata.

For a street car that you are wanting good boost response with low boost, but potential for greater gains once it is built, get the T3/T04E .57 trim.

Thanks for the response and turbo recomendation . Thats the kind of info I need. Yes I want a relatively fast spool, but not something I will have to replace if I ever do internals and want like 14psi or so.

What would be some other good turbos for my set up? Like what should I look for in say a precision? SC34? SC50? AR/trim?

I have been talking to Dave and I think thats where I'll go.

i live in missouri but currently live in Chicago because of school. I know a really good place up here but I don't know if you would want to drive that far. It's called garage kwai and they have an excellent reputation up here. that is where im getting my crx tuned and dynoed. i have a full turbo setup on my crx that im building. im using the precision SC61 turbo which is a T3/T04E housing with .63 a/r. i think its perfect for what im doing. im boosting to around 10-11 psi on this turbo and looking to get around 280 whp on the stock block and head. drop me a line if you have any questions.

If you are interested in a Precision Turbo, contact Dave or Brian at the Whip Factory (630-922-3327) in Chicago. I am great friends with them and they will hook you up on a great deal. I would say the SC34 is on the small side. Probably an SC50 would be good if you don't plan to boost past 15-18 psi.

Tell them Jeff in KC referred you.

I was thinking an SC50 would work well. Figured an SC61 is a little big for me. Any specs I should know about that turbo? Should I just talk to the guys at the whip factory about it?

Dave at the Whip Factory knows turbo maps alot better than myself. I'm more of an All Motor guy.

The SC34 is bigger than the SC50. I have talked to forward thrust about tunning, and he has been really helpful. Also Clubsiracer got his car tuned by him and seems to think good things about him.

Thanks for the info. A sc34 is bigger than an sc50? But a sc61 is bigger than both?

Correct. The SC61 is bigger than both. If I were you, at 7-8 psi, id run sc50 .63 a/r. The sc50 flows more air at lower boost levels than the 34.

So what would an SC50 limit a person too? If in a year or two I went to forged internals and wanted to go to 14psi or so would that mean an SC50 would have to be replaced?
