Trouble getting of header....

Default Trouble getting of header....

Yeah I am trying to get my stock header off i got all the bolts undone except the three that are on the acutal header itself. anyone know how it can get those off or possibly get the header off without having to mess with them.

Make sure your spray some WD-40 or PB Lube, and let it soak up for a few minutes, and respray. Then try losening the bolts again, don't use too much force, or you may snap the bolt.

Invest in some Liquid Wrench... Wd 40 and all of them are worth crap...

Next, you may want to apply heat to it to... Heat makes metal expand. So think carefully about where you apply the heat.

Also, you may want to borrow a good snap-on socket from a friend...

Nah.. 2 thumbs up for "PB Lube", worked every time for me.

And make sure it's a SIX point socket.

yes, 12 pt sockets kind of slip off, and harm the bolt. in my experiences. but yea pb blaster and 1/2 inch 6pt socket. but the manifold bolts are very tough as htey have been through harsh temperatures..etc.. your best bet would be a torch to heat it up, acetylene probably since manifolds can handle the heat.
