I wanna get a better exhaust system for my 94 GS-R beater but I wanna go OEM for some unknown reason.

I would like to get the JDM 4-1 ITR header, and connect that to an ITR Cat. Convertor, exhaust pipe, and ITR muffler.

I would basically be getting an ITR exhaust system + the JDM header... would this fit directly with my GS-R? What would I need to do to make it fit? And how much would you say it would cost?

Am I stupid?

 

I am pretty sure it will NOT bolt right up. The header should be fine, but the USDM typeR exh will have ot be modified. It will be a nice setup.

The muffler won't fit. Yoshi and I tried a GSR exhaust onto an R (Apex'I WS Muffler), and I have heard ITR exhaust only fits on the LS. Header is fine. I am still waiting for it to be Jet Hotted. Then I can try that out.

I have a 2000 ITR muffler on my 1998 GSR. Bolts on perfect.

 

Well... this post has brought more confusion... hehe

 

i think theyre saying that the GSR muffler doesnt fit the ITR but the ITR muffler fits the GSR, you shouldnt have too much fitment problems as long as you get the whole exhaust sytem.

GSRgrrl has a 2001 ITR cat back on her 2001 GSR...No fitment problems!

 

OIC....just look at the ends where the bpipe and the muffler join and you'll see why the statement above makes sense.

 

I'm pretty sure it's a touch too long. Nothing that a quick cut and weld at your local muffler shop won't fix.

I know they fit LS's, my stock exhaust is on one right now.

 

Thanks for the info, BTW... how much would a whole ITR Cat-Back exhaust system be?

How much more power would I get... would it be worth it?
