should i do it or not?
right now ive got a basiclaly stock f22 prelude, and I was thinkin about doing the following,
#1) Get a pimp *** suspension setup, Neuspeed Sport Springs (on car right now), want to get, Koni yellows, neuspeed front and rear sway bar and strut bars, and Energy Suspension bushings.
#2) Boost the F22, run it at like 7 psi just to make the car bearable
#3) While boostin away on my f22, buy an h22 and fully build it, rods, pistons, sleeves, cam gears, valve springs etc.
#4) buying a turbo manifold for the h22, and putting the f22 turbo on the h22.
If I do end up doing this it would be over the course of like 4-5 years,
but does anyone think this would be a good route to go or should i do something diferent,
Suggest away
thanx
Charlie

i'd personally would get TEINS for the suspension setup 'cause ive had personal experience with them on my friend's prelude..... u just gotta love it..... 'n if ne body else says anything negative about 'em..... either has never rode on car with the suspension or just plain smokin' the pipe....
if u noe ne body that has TEIN suspension, (not the springs but the entire set up) ride it.... when i rode on my friend's 'lude.... he was taking 25 mph turns going at least 45-50 mph.... with no body roll... mahn.... i believe they're worth the money..... 'n ne body that has 'em will say the same.....

i would stay at boosted f22 also unless you have the dough to spend...... beside in 4-5 years your gonna (edit:: most likely want) want a different car...

me also, and four years b4 that was a 91 prelude si.....
what im saying is that if he doesnt have the money and it'll take 4-5 years to biuld the engine he will most likely be better off in that time gettin something new that is out in 4-5 years instead of finishing his car then and have spend like 10 g's on a car, start putin that money into something useful, like making more money, then just start over in 4-5 years
or something..... guess we all have our own logic

I totally agree. Seems like a lot of people mod the hell out of their cars only to sell them a year or two down the road.
I am keeping my Prelude as long as it will last. However, I do have another new car too. Maybe that's why. Oh well, I love both cars.
Building an engine for turbo is just too expensive. Particularly spending all that money on a older car.
I say boost your current stock engine. Then if you decide to sell the car, just take the turbo off and sell it and then sell your Prelude.
Search the Accord section. There are a lot of people who turbo their F22s.

If I were in your shoes, I would boost the F22.
It is VERY easy to make a boneyard boost setup on that motor for very cheap, using DSM parts and buying used parts at a bargain.
Then I would take the money saved and put some good shocks and springs on, and maybe a rear sway bar. Then you would have a very well-rounded car.

yea my car has a manual tranny,
I love my prelude too much to think about selling her, the only way id even consider selling her was if I got a real good deal on a clean 4g 4ws prelude, otherwise im not gonna sell her. I worked to hard to get a clean 4g lude, togo and sell her.
and isnt TEIN suspension really expensive like jun or mugen parts
Anybody ever do a bone yard turbo on an f22?
thanx

I almost did the same setup you would use on an F22b, except it was for my H23. The H23 and F22 use the same exhaust manifolds......so if you wanna pick up a cheap turbo manifold for a T25 or 14b turbo, PM me!

F22a is what the guy has in his base lude. f22b, unless you are talking jdm DOHC, has a different port pattern o oo o.
Anyway, yes, DSM also works for his engine, and is cheap. need to redrill the mani to match bolt pattern though... and mount the snail on the other side to keep PS.
Good luck. always hondata.
