The fit and finish of the header and exhaust are excellent. I bought mine used and they have both held up well. I eventually sold the Comptech header for a JDM R header since my plans for the car yielded a larger 4-1 header.
I just bought the Ice Box and my initial out of the box impression was that it was very cheap looking. The plastic box is so plain. The first ones I saw at least had a metal badge that stand out a bit from other intakes and the stock box. But the stock air box lid looked better. My other gripe is the longevity of the lid since it just snaps onto the box and not screws in like the stock box.
But when you look beyond that and look at the overall design, it was well thought out. The bracket to the frame is something AEM should utilize since several people have had problems with rubbing and eventually creating a hole in the AEM tube.
And the customer service that I've experienced has been nothing less than excellent.
I highly recommend Comptech and their products if they fit your goals of what you want for your car.

Yep really...2.5" is ideal on a bolt on ITR...Want me to pull up some dynos? I'm game.
Edit: In the other thread it was you that posted " I dont know enough about exhaust velocity, backpressure, etc, so I won't comment." Like we didn't already know that.
Every gets gains out of a 2.38" or 2.36" system, whichever it is...nobody is saying that's not true...2.5" exhaust system will beat a 2.36" EVERY single time when properly tuned....take it to the bank, I said EVERY SINGLE TIME.

LOL, I didn't read it on Honda-tech...you know why? Because that is tech info...something this board sorely lacks. Along with a lot of other things.

Care to share just where you Did acquire your knowledge from.
Just as RJ mentioned, if you're not happy here, just log off.
guess it's trendy now to jump on the wagon and bitch about the "good o'le day's" that you don't even remember.
And you can search for my review of the Icebox.

One thing I forgot to mention.
The oxygen sensor location for the Comptech header is kind of wierd. The stock O2 sensor wire would not reach, but fortunately I have few o2 sensors laying around and I was able to find one with a long enough pigtail.

Not my picture BTW, I borrowed it.

These specs are more for lower hp/l engines. Equating cc to exhaust diameter is inherently misleading. A 3L taurus, a 3L NSX a 3L F1 engine

How about a 1.5L F1 motor?

So 2.5" OD exhausts are the best for 160-220whp NA engines?

I have used Comptech parts on some of my cars before. They are great products. There fit and filliment are perfect, great quality, not to high priced.
I am currently running an Ice Box and intake on my race car.... I love it.
Let me know if you want to purchase any comptech items.

Hey that's my car.
I had to extend the O2 sensor about 6 inches by splicing and soddering the wires.

I have an IveBox and I am very happy with it .. I've had it for over 2 years with no complaints .. Also, Comptech's customer service is probably the best out there .. Buy their stuff with total ease, you won't be dissapointed ...
i also remember the great header test, where the comptech header put out very similar figures to some 2.5" inch headers, so go figure....anyone have the link for that test? im too lazy to search

only thing i owned from comptech was the muffler.. Loved it. the sound was great cause i wasn't that loud rice burning sound.. it was perfect.. i would recomend it to anyone that wants decent performance without having to here that loud nasty cheap exhaust sound..
