Ummm. I have news for you, K&N filters are pretty damn good, and you should be able to get one at your local parts store. AEM actually used to use them with their cold air intakes. (maybe they still do but I don't think so). I have to agree with the previous threads, don't waste your money, just get a cheap pipe, and throw on a good filter, it will accomplish the same thing.

AEM basically uses K&N filters...i believe they litterally are but not 100% sure...go to ebay and buy one for 20-30 bucks, buy urself a good filter, and possibly a bypass valve...the only reason for getting the AEM that i can think of is the CARB sticker that comes with it..

Unless you live in a state where you need CARB approved parts, I think its a waste to spend so much on an AEM CAI. Just get a generic one off eBay, as long as it has the proper diameter pipe for your setup.
I agree with all the people above that suggest ways of going cheapo, but if you must use AEM, check out http://www.urbanracer.com or http://www.hondaclassifieds.com or http://www.thepartstrader.com or HT's classifieds for someone selling a used one; you can pick it up for $75 to $100 bucks...............in the meantime.....remove your sesonator and put on a k&N filter. Good improvement for $30.

i used it fine for 2 months, then opted for DIY icebox.

I have a 94+ GSR silver AEM CAI laying in my garage. I will sell it to you for $100
I used it for about 6 months. I bought a type r manifold so I had to gett a type r CAI. I will even clean the filter for you so it's like brand new.
If you want it e-mail me dbxtr3@insightbb.com

hehe, i got my aem CAI with an injen filter but no mounting hardware for 15 bucks
......i also have a SRI which i like better because of the peace of mind of no hydrolocking, but i switch them back in forth every once in a while

Remember that AEM is one piping. Looks neater and compare to other generic brands. THey uses "tube connectors" or whatever they call it... Maybe airflow be smooth with one pipe?
I got a new version of aem, red.. Pretty new condition... Not version 2.. but the newer sticker? -=P $105 shipped?

You do pay for the name with AEM but as a lot of people here will tell you you get what you pay for.
AEM = top quality and tuned to be as good as an intake can be.
I have a V2 and it was pricey but I'm quite happy with it.
When it comes down to it neither intake will give you that much more horsepower, so unless you are concerned about getting top quality stuff (like myself) then just go with some no-name stuff.
You could also look into using a comptech icebox with a stock intake arm. I'm not sure how much that is but it sounds like it would be cheaper.
