Default Road racers and autoXers. Need your help with spring rates

Hey guys, I am about to order a set of GC coilovers and I need your help picking out the best rates for my application.

Background info: 1992 Prelude Si with 4 wheel steering. I have a Neuspeed upper front strut tower bar and KYB AGX shocks. These are the only suspension upgrades I will do since I am limited (without going custom) due to my 4WS.

I primarily use my car for tracking and autoXing. I prefer road racing. I do use it for some daily driving too, however, I have two other cars that I drive for bad weather/nice days. So I don't mind if the ride is harsh.

I am looking for a setup that will help neutralize my car....maybe cause it to oversteer a little.

What spring rates do you recommend?? I IM'ed Corey but I haven't heard back from him. He mention a rate distribution already but I want to double check.

Thanks

i think somewhere between 8kg/mm-10kg front and 8kg-12kg rear is a good auto-x/track rate, but it depends on how you drive and if your shocks can handle that much spring. if i'm not mistaken koni yellows will be able to damp those rates, but it'll be in the upper limit if you're at 10kg/mm F 12kg/mm R.

Hmmm, I thought he recommended me 400/500.

I was curious, why do Preludes need stiffer springs in the rear if they don't have as much weight in the back??

Yea, prettymuch, sorry Andy, It has been a hard time to me to recieve my I'ms, they seem not to want to popup, I think anyother Moderator maybe snooping around under my name..

Anyways 400/500 is not a bad setup at all for the street, and track, I even won my first to ever races with those rates before I upgraded..

The basic Skunk 2 coilovers are 400/500.. They worked fine for me..
