Default Took the RSX-S to the drag...

and what a crappy time we had. Only three runs in 2 hours. Anyway there were alot of problems at the track lastnight which made things frustrating because I was hoping to get alot of runs to work out the 60 foot. As most of you DC5/EP3 owners may know the factory tires on these two modles suck big *** so draging is like just doing burnouts in 1st and sometimes 2nd gear. But with my mad-skillz as a driver I was able to tame the beast and get it through 1st without any hop at all, but second was a different story. ("oh **** there goes the radar detector," ben thought as he shifted to secone gear) I was able to produce a 15.03 at 97mph with the first run and a 15.1 (crazy 1st gear hoping) at who knows what mph because the damn tickets weren't working. But what freaks me outs is that I'm really not even launching the car at all because of the above problem and this to me means that if the car did have either a: better tires or b: better suspension or both, it would be in the 14's no problem. (Oh yeah by the way it has an AEM cold air intake)

i guess what i'm trying to say is...are these times a norm or what?

Not bad times man. You could do way better though, just get some more practice in. You'll be in the 14's no problem! A friend of mine ran a 14.5 with just an Injen Cold air. So yea, just practice more and you'll definetly break 14's

Damn that's a solid trap speed for only a CAI. With a better launch, you will see high 14 sec times. Add some ES mm inserts and tires, you'll see mid 14s possibly.
What were your 60 foot times?

I was about to say, that 97mph is an awesome trap... . Definitely a lot quicker than the ET.

thanks for all the replies guys. I did notice the mph was high for that time, but unfortunatley i didn't get a slip for that run. I really wanted to know my 60', but oh well. I do know however that on the 15.198 run i did a 2.5 something (high 5) 60' which is crap, i know. The 60 for the 15.0 was i'm guessing in the 2.4 which is still alot of room for improvement.

I have a K20A2 in my EP3 which weighs 3100 lbs w/ driver!!

I ran 14.9 @ 92.78mph w/ a crappy 2.37 60' @ Englishtown on March 1st.

Mods= ES MM, eBay CAI, 2.25" midpipe, SLIPPING Clutchmasters stage 3 clutch.

Your time is about right.

Damn I thought that your setup would produce better times than that, no offense. And 3100 pounds?!?!? How much does the RSX-S weigh in at?
