if i buy a stock eg how mucj am i lookin to spen for.....
im getting ready to but a stoc eg and was wondering how much extra on top of buying the car am i looking at. i want to drop an h22. LSD. and type R suspension and hopefully do a 5 lug conversion. i have 13500 to spend and i want to get it all done correctly act a shop.

i would say a good buy would be around $1500-$2000 for a high milage, no rust eg. the h22 swaps gonna set ya back about $4k thats with the replacement on the nessacities...thats with it done the right way...dont put an h22 on stock type r suspension...go with some full coilovers..that will run around $1k-$1200 depending on what your needs are...5 lug with type r wheels runs around $1300-$1500... i would recomend you search, theres alot of great info hidden within all of us bastards...

If I were you I would look for a decent condition one as is, because yeah you can find these beater bucket rust ones but in the end paint can be sometimes 2 or 3 times the price of the car, I got lucky and bought my hatch for 1500 from some small dealership in Chicago, and had a hookup on paint and parts, so I ended up spending 1800 for car with taxes and title, and another 1800 for paint and some misc trim parts, but that is hooked up. Paint was cost and labor for the workers, no profit, and its bucking mint. either way look to spend about 3200-4500+ for a good conditon stock paint car or a fixer uper repaint.
On the engine side, note this engine does weigh more and people are going to say dont bother as it throughs off car balance, dont listen to them, the engine was weighed compared to a b18 not to long ago to come out to a total of I want to say 40 lbs over the b series, not much if you remove PS and AC and anything else not needed. yeah about 4000 to be done right.
Type R swap
It also weighs more and is not necessary, but its your car, I would just do gsr or si swap. But 5 lug blingin is cool. about what 1300 is average I cant remember.
Also look to help from the cali guys on this board, as just cuz its a shop doesnt mean its done right, I think of more than a few occasions where shops have cheated customers. Sometimes its best to have a another HT member or friend or even you just do it or figure it out or whatever.
