why is there a bulb missing at the very end of the jdm tail lights? its actually blocked off. where as usdm version lights up. If you are having trouble understanding what im trying to say ill get some pictures to illustrate.
That's right. The JDM taillights do not have the corner light. It does not have the corner lights in my EG9 taillights either.
I guess the US traffic laws/regulations requires that light for safely reason or so.

i am not sure, but i have the JDM taillights on my civic for 2 years now and having no problems so far.
btw, which year are those taillights?

No way in hell that a cop will notice that. Don't stress it. I live where cops love to harass japanese imports and I have no third brake light, illegal front lights......they won't be able to tell man.

If they are not DOT approved, there is always the *possibility* but its not like they are obvously different(ie. altezzas) so id imagine you would be OK unless a cop specificaly looked for that DOT label on the lense.

Can you take a picture of those for me? I know there's a little MS Paint photo of the differences between 94-97/98-01 USDM/JDM tails... the 98+ being all red (JDM having an amber turn signal) and the 94-97 having a little darker border. I've never actually seen a real picture of the 98+ JDM lights so yea, pics would be appreciated

Just imagine 98 with an amber signal.
You won't need to worry about having cops say something about that. At worst, they will just cite you for a blown bulb. They look so stock that no body would even know that they are even jdm except the jdm ******.

Funny, because people in Japan sometimes add a corner bulb by cutting out a hole for the light socket. There are "how-to" articles on this floating around on .jp websites.

DOT markings are all present on the JDM tailights. It reads EXACTLY like a normal USDM tailight.
No worries there.

That's because the Japanese like the USDM style, while we all like the JDM stuff.
I have seen some Japanese even converted their Integra's front end to the USDM style also. People always love the stuff which is not common or easy to get.
