Default 2 fuel pumps overkill?

Ok, so i am upgrading my fuel pump for a turbo kit. I got a walbro 255lph hp intank pump, and I am planning on boosting about 20psi. Now, I have this other inline walbro lying around, its also rated 255lph, i assume hp too since it was used with an fmu previously. So i was thinking that i could take out the stock fuel filter and place the inline there on the firewall, and run a hi flow inline filter after it before the fuel rail.

My basic idea behind this, is that it would help with the work load of pushing fuel to the rail. rather than the intank pump push from the tank all the way to the fuel rail, it would only be pushing from the tank to the pump and then the inline would pick up the rest to the fuel rail. not that i expect it to gain any hp out of it or anything. Just wondering if this is just a waste of a fuel pump. What do you guys think?

You will most likely be just fine, might create more problems for yourself by adding the second pump. Just monitor your fuel pressure under boost (on the dyno)... if you lose fuel pressure under high boost at high RPM you most likely need a bigger pump or two pumps.

Also depends on your fuel management, adding the second pump may create too much pressure, and cause you to run rich, but if you can lower the duty cycle from your injectors you will probably be alright.

I would just stick to the Walbro 255 until you notice a drop in fuel pressure.

since you gave no idea on how much power your car will make its tough to answer your question.
