Hey Jordo, I see that you are enjoying your new toy "10D". Check out these sites. They are all about digital photography and I think will improve your photography skill and utilize the 10D to its fullest potential.

Please throw away your scissor jack and get something better. I almost lost one fo my best friends 4 years ago when his 4,000lb 7MGTE powered 1988 Supra fell on him because of a shitty JDM scissor jack. He crawled under the car for a quick "less than 5 minute" repair job on a wastegate vaccuum line when the jack went belly up. The only reason why he survived is because he is a 5'11" 300lb beast who was able to hold the car up until another friend secured the jack. The pressure of the car burst most of the capillaries in his eyes and severely bruised most of his upper body!
If you have to use a scissor jack make sure you put something under the car to prevent the car from contacting the ground when the jack fails.

You should never get under anything that's up on a jack. You only should work under something that is on stands or something solid. even a hydro jack can be bad news like BlazeONE said

Hey Jordo:
Keep shooting. Digital pix are cheap
some suggestions...
- looks like you used f/8.0 on all your shots. try varying it to get different DOF.
- preset the white balance
- use fill flash (it'll help bring out the details especially in your first pic)
Here's an example where I used fill flash to bring out the details. w/o it the back and bottom of the truck would be all black

If you have any questions, PM or email me

i don't see anything oil change related other than you jacking up your car.
good pictures of your dirty car though.
finally, i never get under a car without jackstands. it's scary sh*t thinking about being crushed.
