Default Radiator Probelm, please help ASAP...

Ever since I did the JDM B16A motor swap in my car, it seems like my stock radiator is going through coolant or water fast. I will fill it up and a couple days later the tank is empty? Is this because of the size of the radiator? I usually shfit around 3,000-3500rpms so its not too high or too low. Please let me know what you think could be the problem... Thank you

What do you mean by the tank?

Are you have overheating issues?

Usually, there is an expansion tank on the right side of the radiator. When coolant gets hot, it expands and overflows into that tank. When it cools down, it will retract and actually go back in the rad.

So if you are saying that after a ride, your expansion tank (white plastic) is full, but then in the morning it is empty, and then after a ride it is again full, and so on. than that is normal.

If not, are you seeing coolant on the ground?
White smoke out your exhaust?

I'm not sure what your problem is but you should consider getting a dual core radiator from the v-tec del sol. It cost ~$125 new. It fits in the stock location. The stock civic radiator is just too small for b-series engines.

alright, i thought that the white tank always has to be full... I was not aware that it filled up and emptied out... I will also look into getting the DelSol Dual Radiator? Did that radiator only come on the B16A Del Sols? Please let me know... thank you...

PS -- could you please send me the link to where I could purchase the radiator?? thank you

hold on..... it's not supposed to empty out completely.......

if the coolant is actually going away then you could have air in your cooling system which is being displaced by the coolant you keep putting in the overflow tank..... have you bled the cooling system? if not, that's the first thing you should do.....

if my stock ex radiator can support a jdm gsr, then your jdm b16 should be fine.

The bleeder screw for the coolant is located on your thermostat housing, I believe if you follow your lower radiator hose it'll lead you right to the housing, if not the lower hose then follow the upper hose.
