IAC valve question
I have a 1994 gsr and my IAC Valve is bad... I was wondering if any other ones other than those off of gsr's will fit? So in other words, would an integra ls one fit?
have you cleaned it yet ?
There's been many threads of people that had a problem with theirs. Use some carb cleaner and take it off the manifol and clean it. If that doesn't work then, you cna buy a new one or search for used.
New from Honda is about $160.00. You can get one from a B18B, B20, B16A, B18C5. Those should all work. Just need to make sure you get one of the same OBD.

alright, yea i cleaned it last night with carb cleaner and it did nothing at all. went to acura and the part was $200. Are you positive on those all fitting. Thanks a lot.
most hondas are the same
just buy a whole intake manifold for the price of one sensor
b16 b18 for $150 in the classifieds but make sure it has all sensors..

here's a silly question....
how do you know the IACV is bad ? You said you just replaced the IM with a Skunk2...how recently ? could you have installed something wrong there causing the same problem ?

My car ran fine before the skunk2 intake manifold. I checked to see what code my car was throwin and it was code 14 which is the one for the IAC valve. The description is that it is either bad or the sensor is unplugged or something of that sort. I did what an acura mechanic said and i cleaned the valve with carb cleaner and i still had the problem. The Valve is definitely on there right. The mechanic also told me to cover the holes that are normally covered by the IAC valve with my fingers and it shouldnt have the idle problem. He said if it does then i might have other problems. ahhhhhhhhhhhhh
