Default Accelerating problem.....

First off, I filled up my gas tank cus I thought that could be the problem but it wasnt.

Problem is, alot of times when my car is below 3000 rpms (like after a shift) the acceleration of the car "bogs" and you can feel it go like put put. Then after about 3000 rpms it will suddenly kick in to accelerating like it should usually, but sometimes still lag back a brief second. Its a basically a stock engine, since my stuff got stolen.

Ideas what makes it do this and how to fix it? Really sux now when I down shift to pass people on the highway and I end up falling back instead.

what octane fuel are you running? have you changed your plugs/wires/cap/rotor lately? reaplaced your fuel filter lately? how's your ignition timing set?

ive been through this a couple of times. time to do routine maintenance. plugs, wires, cap, rotor, oil, filter, and fuel filter. when ive bout a couple of my cars they were doing this, and replacing this stuff makes the car happy again. also try some fuel system cleaner with a full tank of at least 91 octane gas. thats my recomendation. hope it helps

Thanks, I changed the fuel filter about a year ago, so it should still be alright. I'll check the wires, plugs, and timing next.

You should do a complete Fuel system clean on your car the best product out there is BG 44k its great stuff and works great on honda's. It cleans the tank filter, injector and most important of all it cleans the combustion chamber of deposits and also clean out the Cat and O2 sensors. You will love this stuff if you had never used any type of fuel system cleaner. Worth every dollar.

ive been having the same problem...i tried an additive and went away for a few weeks but now its back worse than ever... it started out like this guys only in low rpms and then it would run clean after 3500 or so but now its all over. i have a new dizzy, cap , rotor, plugs, wires, everythign, fuel filter. the only thing i havent gotten around to changing yet is the fuel pump my guess is that my problem. can someone confirm this?
