I recently made the mistake of giving my account away. After seeing a lot of things here that really made me question why I was even on here, and then the departure of several notable figures such as GK, D, and Dave, I decided that I was to move on to other things, other people, and other forum based websites. I changed my username to the nickname I got at the BBQ, Grizzly Adams, and then just last week gave it to another young man, one who is quite knowledgable in the ways of Honda's. He posted for a few days under my old account and I checked in every night just to keep tabs on him and what he was doing. I kept the password to the account, just to IM my close friends, and buy/sell a few parts, but I was eventually going to "fade out" of Honda-Tech.

Well, as it seems, once you start something you had better hold on to it until it dies. The very recent Alberto issue caused me to dig out the guy's phone number and call him tonight requesting my account back. He didn't seem to mind much, he enjoyed it here, and will probably sign on as a new member in the near future. So I guess this means I'm here to stay for a while, regardless of circumstance. I just figured that you, the Honda-Tech family, should know this.

The issue with Alberto is in the process of being worked through. I expect to see it resolved in the very near future. I hope that this particular incident will not hinder future business transactions with neither me, nor him.

I just thought that I would let everyone know this so they can expect my usual posts, and my usual bullshit.

 

I don't understand why he wouldn't make up a new account anyways...I would want to be unique and not feed off of someone elses reputation, good or bad...

That whole deal seems fishy to me...but oh well, welcome back!

 

Why would you give someone else your account? So they can have an apparant good rep instantly? Seems pretty wack to me.

He's a very knowledgable person when it comes to Honda's (moreso than almost everyone I've ever met), and he didn't want to "make an entrance" or have to deal with the hell that a lot of new users have to go through. I was looking to fade out, and he was looking to come in, so it seemed like an ideal situation.

I'm not. I just don't see what the big deal is at this point. The name changed and everything. I wouldn't do it, but that's just me personally.

I will stand by Kendall, he is not a scammer, ive been friends with him for some time. Issues were improperly resovled and from the looks of it have been step in motion to clear all things up. Every makes mistakes guys, I dont think we should point the finger at people, but just let things clear them selves up, which they look like they are going to.

I actually got the idea from a "respected" member who did the same thing. Only his close friends ever found out about it.

Post count means nothing. I post whenever I feel compelled to post, not to increase a silly post count. What's sad is that people like you actually use someone's post count in order to judge the quality of the member that they are.
