Default 94 Prelude Steering Wheel SHAKING!!

This is the problem if anyone can help me please do so. When I drive on the Highway at about 80 to 100 miles per hour, my steering wheel begins to shake very violently!! Now I have checked the rims on my car are not bent or worped and I got my wheels balaced and replaced with new tires alos an alignment was done. WHy is my car steering wheel still shaking?? The rotors are good too and brakes. Please someone give me an answer please!! !!

well how do I get around? when I drive on a normal street there is no shaking and even at 60 mph there is no shaking, but when I hit 80 mph or higher it starts shaking and at about 100 mph or higher it starts making a roaring sound really loud and after I slow down a bit it stops.?? Go figure.

Did you have the balancing done before or after this problem appeared? if it was before then mymoney is firmly on inaccurate balancing!

I think your CV boot is leaking and your axle is bad.

Had this happen on a dodge caravan. It only shook at certain speeds.

could be tie rod ends. I had this same problem and I just needed some new tie rod ends on the front. around 40 bucks for both sides. To test your take you wheel off and put a hand on each side of the rotor and see if if it wiggles at all if so then replace them and you should be alright.

Thanks for everyones advice but found out my rims are alittle out of round and that means I needed to have them balanced staticly or manually ,so they put weights on the inside of the rim and outside.its doing alot better now!!
