Default Which motor for the 94 EX coupe

What would be a recommended swap for a 94 Accord? B, or H series, I wanna turbo it and be able to supass the big body V8's I hear 230whp is good enough to keep up with V8's but since I know the accord weighs about 3020lbs and a civic ex weighs about 2480lbs I was thinkin about going back to the civic but I wanna try somethin new if possible.

Well you either need a h series motor or a f22 motor because of the tq the heavier accords need to get going. The B series motor granted has decent hp is **** for tq, hell my left nut has more tq than a b series. IMO a built f22 turbo will put down those numbers and more but for a more reliable engine the h22 is the way to go (from what I have been reading). Search it up and you will find what you need. Accord axles

all you need to do is strap on a turbo kit to the STOCK motor and you will easily have 230 whp and probably a similar number for tourque...

and also, the accord should weight right about 2900 lbs...

I am using the Prelude axles with the Accord intermediate shaft, because the Prelude axles are stronger.

why b? you wont get even close to the torque you need to get your car going. as far as 230whp i heard a good turbo will put you up to that running 8psi. if you want to swap youre going to want an h22a. still going to be short of the power you need to pull on a decent 350... so umm. turbo or swap + turbo.

To start if you run 8 psi on a stock motor you will either blow the motor (melting pistons, pistons do not like heat!) or come real close to it. V8's are the best.

if you got what you wanted then why do you need to post the question.

why do you want to beat V8s? those guys don't care. you know why? cause they didn't spend $10K to make their car run 13s, they bought it that way.

No I just did the search right before u posted.

well I mean to me my whole family has V8's right, and im the only 4cyl person in the family, but I wanna out do them all, and when I had my civic with my b18 swap and intake I took one of my cousins with a v6 model car, but I dunno, I was looking at this Auction place and I saw alotta nice cars there and I even saw accord with a h22a swap it had it on document saying it was a h22a swap, but then I saw this RSX type S up there and some guy won the bid buy 5k, so I dunno...but thanks anyways tho.

you should just get another civic and drop an H22 then. that's the cheapest way to hang wit V8 muscle.

Everyone with a sohc vtec is running over 8 psi usually. These engines take 10 psi dialy driven. Thats why if you wanna be fast get a turbo if you want reliability get a h22.
