Default HELP: Went Through Deep Puddle of Water Last Night

It was raining like crazy and I was driving on campus. Apparently, there was a huge puddle of water that didn't drain right. I couldnt see this b/c there were no cars in front of me and it was dark as hell. I ended up realizing I hit the water and thought that the best thing to do is drive through it as quickly as possible.

Here's the end result. I feel water inside my spark plugs, but I havn't opened it up today cause I was studying for an exam. This is the 2nd time this has happned to me. When I accelerate, I'm not getting full performance as I feel the water inside. I replaced my NGK's w/ Bosch Platiums around a year ago (8K miles). Do I need to replace all the plugs as well as the wires and the distributor cap? Or should I just dry the plugs out instead of purchasing new ones? I need to change the wires anyways as well as my cap. Last time I did so was prior to my 40K tuneup..I'm now at 62K. I also have a MSD Ignition. I've ran the same set of Magnecor wires for the past two years. Which brand do u guys recommend I switch to?

Is there anything else that I should be checking for after going through this huge puddle of water?

If you say you feel the sluggishness, you may have ingested some water...but the fact your engine is running says you didn't get too much in there. You may have some in there and it could be hampering your fuel ignition, but it will eventually leak through the rings or evaporate out. Change your oil.

If you got too much water in the motor, it wouldn't be able to even turn over. If it did turn over, it would make aweful noises because you shattered a piston. I think you're fine, though

do you mean water has gotten into the holes that the plugs sit?

if that is the case take it apart asap and dry it out things should be ok as long as you don't give the water a chance to act as a catalyst in the oxidation process.

once you have done that if it still feels bad the spark plugs should be ok, but there may be some buildup of stuff in the wires as a result of the water.

change ur spark plugs, crank your engine like 5-10 times, then do an oil change

I have an Iceman intake.

How will just a simple oil change be able to flush the water out?

if you got water in the engine, taking out the spark plugs and cranking the engine will push any water that is in the combustion chamber out.

edit: please be damn sure you don't have your fuel pump running when you are doing the above, if you were to have the atomized fuel air floating around your engine bay (which it would if you are firing without your spark plugs) and a spark goes off, say goodbuy to your integra.

changing the oil will get rid of any water that has mixed with the oil (which isn't really true because oil/water doesn't mix), but hopefully you understand what I am saying

changing the spark plugs IMO isn't nessisary, but it a good precautionary measure, changing the plug wires is something you should highly consider as well if you think water has gotten into them.

i had the same exact problem when i washed my engine... whoops, got some water down in them there holes, lol...

yank out your wires and replace them.... i used an air hose to blow out all the water and dry the spark plugs and stuff. solved my problem.
