probably the crank angle sensor on the distributor shaft, thats what my 92' Ls needed. It just quit one night when it was just idling, and it sat for a week until I bought every part that could possibly make spark (cap, rotor, igniter, and distributor assembly). I didn't find out until I bought the distributor that the crank angle sensors cause this problem on some models.
i will have to remember that thanks for the advise i would never had thought abpout that. i just replaced a coil on a 94 civic ex i couldnt figure out why it had no spark but it got fuel so we went and bought a ignighter and that wasnt it so we took it back and got the coil and boom it started right up.
