Default USDM EP3 Back Seats

Well, in the course of another thread I found out that the Si/SiR where fittet with three three point seat belts and head rest.

Looks something like this (picture by k-series)

Maybe somebody would like to exchange the back rest with headrest for a EDM backrest without headrests.

Looks something like this:

Here ist the thread in the classifieds.

Mmm, headrests would look nice in a RSX. I wonder why they never stuck those seats in the EDM EP3. They came from the same factory and Germany is closer to the factory than the US.

Yes, beats me too. Thing is a lot of the owners of EP3s in Germany took out the rear for racing, so maybe they anticipated that.

Did no one do that with the Si? Maybe I should inquire with my honda dealer to find out if it was at all possible to retrofit the EDM EP3s with headrests.

There's a couple people that I know just
removed their headrests altogether (kept the
seats, of course). Sometimes for visibility.

I bet you could buy someone's unwanted
headrests off of them for cheap, then see if
you can someone mount them to those seats.

Hey Andy,

I would do that as well. Let me know if the folks you know are willing to get rid of their headrests

try posting on http://www.ephatch.com since that is a whole site devoted to the new si hatch!

you would have better luck finding people selling their stuff over there.

When I had my (USDM EP3) rear seats out, I removed the uphostory, and found that there is actually a third set of holes in the framework for adding a headrest to the middle. The parts needed are two slots with the locking pins in them, and, of course, the extra headrest.

With some pressure, you might be able to feel for some holes on your EDM seats where headrests can go....removing the upholstery is an ordeal.

Many USDM owners remove the rear headrests... they block the rear view, and they can limit the front seats' mobility when the rear seats are folded down.

Well, I gladly just take the extra head rest. Could one of the USDM EP3 owners feel like taking a picture of the third seat belt and how it is bolted to the body? I would love to replicate that over here.
