Underbody White Neon Lights. How To Install? Where
Our shop is swapping a b18c1 into a del sol and maybe juicing it for our car for advertising and word of mouth of the kind of stuff we do.
While we have the bumpers off I thought I am going to install the white underbody neons that we have.
Well I got it all installed today and when I went to turn it on only the first 1/4 of the front neon tube lite up, would this be cause because my battery had no life?
Like my battery couldnt even start my car but wouldnt it light up every set atleast a little bit?
I couldnt charge my battery either because I had no cars to jump it to or a charger. I hope its just the bettery.
And for the ground of the unit thing. I just grinded off all the paint til it was perfect silver and screwed it down, thats a good ground still right?

Since its a show car and one of our partial sponsors is street glow and we got the kit for free, were not throwing it in the trash.
Can anyone help on the front install?

When I used to have neons, I had my front and backs installed on the bumper. They were on the inside lip of them. It worked really well, but the sides kept breaking because there was nowhere to hide those from the ground/rocks.
ya i installed them on a car and put them up inside the bumber. for you with the body kit should be easier, you can just put them on the top side of the lip were it come back towards the bumber, for the side, if you have after market sides do the same if you don't then bolt them to the metal and try and get them right against the side skirt
aaaa yes i installed them on a freinds car almost 5 years ago

I dont see where I could place them on the bumper, my car is 3 inches off the ground so I cant put it under and other than that I dunno where else

youre going to take them off right after the show right?
on a side note, how do you win one of these shows anyway? do you make the most rediculous looking POS you can possibly muster. and the judges award you a trophy for the most money wasted, is it a pitty thing or what? i mean honestly im really wondering here.

Most car shows arent all about rice anymore but more about the most unique things someone can do and motorization is becoming big as well.
Im sure a b18c1 swapped sol with bolt ons and a 100 shot would give "Madison" a run for her money
Im still a fan of the "rice" fad because its still the big thing here in Canada but JDM is alright but most people are into it for the wrong reasons and are just doing it because its the current fad in the states

Stop hating on his lights. Let him do what he wants to his car. He already said they were sponsored by them, and received them for free. Someone just help the guy with his question. No need to criticize him on his lights...
im not sure about giving Madison a run for her money (especially in a few weeks) but no doubt it would be quick. but i dont like nitrous anyway, i just think its a cheap way to win, whatever though, to each his own.
Kind of an old thread..
But I wanted to give my suggestion. Get some L or T stock aluminum and bolt it to the underside of the car and then bolt the neon to that aluminum as a protection.
