Default JDM D15b HP?

I recently bough this 89 civic hatch and it has a jdm d15b and it is non-vtec 16 valve 1.5 liter with a SOHC and it is dual piont injected.......ive been asking around several different civic sites and no one seems to know for sure and some people think that the engine that i have doesnt exist? oh and it is a 4 speed...

can anyone clear this up for me?

your friends car 1989 as well?
the 1990 and up came out a lil heavier out the factory
that might be why yours "feels" faster than his

Bottom line do your self a favor, before any other bolt-ons, do the MPFI swap and if you can get an Si Cam

It'll help you out quite a bit

It's probably somewhere between 90-100. But before you waste any money, do a MPFI conversion and ditch the 4-speed for an Si trans. It is the best thing you could do for your car. It will feel like lightning compared to it current state. And will rape your buddies B1. (thats not saying much) But still it's bragging rights

Oh yeah MPFI wiring isn't all that difficult. Just take your time and make sure you do it right the first time.
