Ok, so I'm under the hood taking my valve cover off to see what I'm dealing with before doing a valve adjustment, and I notice filing marks on my fuel rail. There was definitly something there, b/c it sticks out a bit like a sticker or something was supposed to go there. The spot is about an inch wide and maybe 1/3" tall. My question is, are there any serial #s or any other identifying marks on the fuel rail? I hope my shiznit's not stolen or something.
PS - I'm stuck in the mid-90's, so I still don't have a digicam to take pics.

Have you gotten your engine bay cleaned recently??? If so that could be the problem. On my old 91 teg I had the engine bay washed Water Power Blasted or whatever and It looked like someone sanded the top of my intake manifold the letters of the pgf-mi or somthing like that were barely visible. Hope this HELPS!!!

no, the only thing i've done as far as that goes is just giving it a good once over at the self serve car wash. i'm pretty sure they're filing marks. the only other thing i can think of would be that it came like that from the factory to help a sticker stay on the metal, but i kinda doubt that's the case. can someone take a pic of their DA's stock fuel rail to compare? i'll give someone a nice cold beEErr if they take a pic for me....
