I have seen this stuff save a motor from a spun rod bearing. Get your bearrings coated. Not sure if they would do the entire crankshaft or not. It's an extra insurance policy that is for sure. If you are droping major cash on your motor it will help and never hurt. I know once my bulid is done I will have all bearings, and pistons coated. Cyrotreating is differnt from this and is once again an extra insurance policy. I really dont feel well done internal compoents would need cyrotreating unless you are runing 20+psi even then its questionable. Best thing to have cyrotreated on a honda? Transmission parts....

All you need is pistons at the most...... not many people coat their stuff thou

Look at it this way, the ProFWD guys run 50+lbs of boost, and they don't coat ****..... on the other end of that...... most 15lb daily drivers i know of run forever with no problems without coatings....... if you want to hear the benefits..... talk to precisionH23a

This is mainly something done for circle track and road racecars. Some of them swear by this stuff. I was reading on one domestic boards about cup teams that have literally EVERYTHING combustion chambers you name it, in the motor coated and see up to a 2% gain in power just due to the coating (keep in mind these guys Nextel cup guys use Honda bearings these days so ordering bearings pre-coated is really easy). Granted I don’t have near the cash to do that (coat everything) nor would it really be all that practical for the street/strip/track setup I am after. However I did see one of these coatings save a poorly assembled motor. Made me a believer, not to say I plan on my motor being poorly assembled just like I said its insurance.
