Help!!!!!! Help!!!! I just put new pistons and rods in but when I spin the crank it is free then it
I just put new pistons and rods in but when I spin the crank it is free then it becomes real stiff, The pistons are nippon racing turbo pistons, and scat forged rods, with new rod bearings. Like I said when I spin and it reaches a power stroke it get really hard like something is stuck somewhere then once it moves it goes back to being free...PLease help me
tHE HEAD IS NOT ON , the cradle is not on the oil pan is not on the thrust bearings are no in...just the block, no scratches in the cylinder, it was oiled when I put them in, I checked for clearance, but it is doing it the way you said when two go up and 2 come down..Thanks

Put the thrust bearings in and see what happens.
Also, how do you know what stroke the pistons are on if you don't have the head put together. The piston goes up on both compression and exhuast, so if you mean "up" say "up" and not "power stroke". The head determines the power stroke .
Also, let us know if you plastiguaged the bearings before you slapped it all together.

Re: (Archidictus)
No i did not plastiguage the bearings all I did was lube them first with assembly lube and checked the clearance with a feeler guage., and I do mean up when two pistons go "up" it gets hard to spin.sorry about the othe reposts!!
