CALIING ALL SOHC TURBO GUYS!!!
What turbo are you guys in the 225-250 HP range running? I'm lookin for good response with a good top end. I was thinkin about a t3 60 trim or a t3/to4e 50 trim (both .48 a/r) just want to see what u guys r runnin on ur sohc beasts!!
I'm running the greddy tdo4h-15g and I'm guessing I would be right around 225whp. When I dynoed, I hit 206whp on the 13th of 13 straight runs(heat soaked).
I would recommend a t3/to4e 50 trim with the .48 which would be good for 300whp but still have decent spool.

My set up
D16Y8 9psi stock exhaust made 215hp and 173ft lbs
Rev hard manifold
T3T4 .51 a/r and .48 exh
Red hard 2.25" downpipe
tial wastegate
sperco intercooler
2.25 charge pipes
hondata
510cc evo injectors
and the power is nice with the EX tranny i rarly have traction issues when im in town unless i drop it hard lol.

I'm running a T3/T04E 50 trim .63. I will see a couple pounds of boost build before 3,000rpm in 5th gear even. Full boost of ~14psi comes on by ~5100rpm. Full 3" exhaust and equal length mani probably help for spool, but I was still surprised how fast it spools. Once boost hits around 8 pounds the needle on the boost gauge just shoots up right away

I plan on running the SC50 precision turbo......If read the compressor map correctly I should see boost coming on around 3900-4700 rpm......BTW its the .63 on the cold side, .48 on the hot side(i believe its a .48)
Cant wait till boost
that turbo should be good for 400 horsepower
edit: its going on a d16y8

I ran the T3 60 trim on my old setup. I liked it... i made 194whp @ 8-8.5psi. good cheap turbo for a stock internal street sohc. my new setup is giong a lil wilder though... i just sold my SC60 for an SC61

me too !!! I liked the way you explain.... after 8 psi the boost raise faster ...
This mean more traction !!! cool ! I have the same turbo spec than ELspool and the way you explained it... Thats exactly what I was looking for !!!
