Which Clutch and why?
I am ditching the ACT I have with 2000 miles on it for a new one. I am trying to decide between these three, so help me out fellas. Just to give you a little about my setup, I will be running a turbo with 450-500 whp (Hopefully!) The reason I am going away from ACT is I just had two buddies with LS's that pulled their ACT's and I saw what it did to the flywheel. It was horrible, I am sure plenty of people have them and are fine with the results that are produced, but I just bought that lightweight flywheel. After what I saw done to the factory flywheel, I don't want to mess up the lightened one I just got! Post what you can, I am buying in a few days.
well Clutch Masters Stage 3 will NOT hold up to that kinda power...You are going to need a very strong pressure plate and a pucked disk....a full face disc won't be good for that kinda power. So I voted CM Stage 4....I bet the Clutchnet stage 3 would be a good choice too.
I've had two CM stage 3's and I also had 2 CM flywheels.
My stage 3 would only last about 3K miles. I eventually had to go with a stage 4, four puck ceramic disc. I also ended up swapping my first CM flywheel for a new one because the center of the flywheel started to meltdown.
The new one has a bearing in the center that prevents this from happening.
The stage 4 does let out a bit sudden and harsh though, but it was holding the power.

I also use a stage 4 CM and the flywheel and it is great.Takes a little getting used to but streetable.I do have a question for some of you that have had a stage 4 longer.I have only had mine for about 6 months with no problems but have heard of some concern with the seals on the slave cylinder.Anyone had any problems?
Well, I put a poll up for ClutchNet, and no one has said too much about it. I know there are some other companies like, Clutch Specialties that are good. ACT is ok, but I have been hearing very bad things lately, and I have seen two factory flywheels that are just hammered by the ACT. There is a spot to add to the poll, I left it open so other people could post their choice and why they like or dislike it.

Well, have them post what problems they are having. And also have them post what their setup is, and what clutch they moved on to.
