heater core lines backwards?
just finished putting a rebuilt gsr motor back into a friend's car, and the heat is not working. i remember one of the heater core lines connecting to the water tube, and the other to a black piece above the rear motor mount. this one above the rear motor mount is going to the side of the head under the vtec solenoid, and i am wondering if this is backwards. thanks.
if they were backwards...from what i know, the hoses would be physically crossed. I think its kinda hard to put them on the wrong ones. As for no heat....make sure the car is warm, and the heat valve thing is working/opening.
gsr's have funny connections at the firewall, they are very spaced out and the original heater line brackets don't apply now that the motor has a type r intake manifold.
I dontthink it would make any diff i the lines were crossed. You'd still have heat. They may be plugged tho.
Is the heater valve opening all the way?
