Default GReddy SP or Apexi WS

I searched, but could not come up with anything except pages and pages of what exhaust is better. I'm just looking for a good reputable place where I can get one or if any of my fellow teg owners are selling theirs. BTW, I have a '94 GSR that is a daily driver to school and a quiet exhaust is a must. LOL.

if your looking for quiet get the WS...i dont think the greddy one is that quiet. check the classifieds for a used one...the sponsered section always has great deals on apexi exhausts.

WS = not straight through
SP = straight through

SP makes more power and sounds really nice. WS is quiet and makes little power.

do u have dynos to back up the sp makes more power. I know the ws is chambered but u dont have any proof.

Heres my dyno of Apex WS - USDM DC Header - Carsound - and CAI

ws is one of the best sounding exhaust I have heard, but its far from "stock" sounding or quiet--heres a short video of my car. Its with the header-stock cat- and catback

Well, being that the first reply said that the Apexi WS is chambered (I know this, since I had one), and the Greddy SP is a straight through design, then they are totally different exhausts.

To the original poster, what are your plans/goals for your car? You must know those first before you choose a chambered exhaust or a straight through one.

If you want something quiet, and can sacrifice some performance, get the World Sport. That's what I did. I was boosting 18psi and I figured I'd rather be quieter. Who cares if I'm losing 30hp on top end when I'm making 350 anyway?

well i am willing to sacrifice power for sound suppression. It's goin on my gsr which is a daily driver up to college since I'm commuting from home. Sucks living at home. Anyways, just looking for somethin other than stock, but keeping as close to stock noise as possible. So i'm pretty set on the apexi. Just gotta find one.

ok heres my sp2 commentary. i have one on my single cam equipped del sol. i love the sound. but it is not as quiet as people say it is. i do not have a test pipe and its loud in my car. not so loud you cant talk but you can def hear it loud and clear. now its not that loud outside of the car because it seems loud in the car but i had my friend drive my car with me standin outside. its pretty quiet outside. its very deep unlike any other straight exhaust ive ever heard and it sounds great. anyway, i think its because sols have such small interiors the sound has nowhere to go, but my exhaust is growing on me. i think its so deep that the volume isnt really perceived as being loud like an n1 but its there. my car is a daily driver and its not irritatingly loud and i find myself turning off the music so i can listen to the exhaust when i florr it lol. i would get the sp2 because its sounds awesome and there is definite top end gains with this exhaust i mean im not sayin its gonna feel like you have turbo lol, but at the very least i have better throttle response and some pull in the higher rpm ranges. besides its straight through and quiet considering the design and compared to other straight through mufflers. whats not to like?

You should read more. N1 is a straight through design. Most straight through designs sound exactly the same, whereas most chambered designs sound the same.

What are your plans for the car that you need an N1 design?
