Hey guys

Well, since DC headers are crap (from what ive been told), and the hytech/smsp headers are so expensive, i was wondering if it would be worth it to mod a greddy header to fit my SH? Now im not too sure what exactly is involved other than elongating the collector in order to make it clear the ATTS unit. So i was kinda wondering, would it be worth it to, at the same time, chop off the 2" collector and weld a 2.5" collector on there? Now, being in cali, i NEED to have my cat. So with these things in mind, can it be done for a reasonable price? Is it even worth it? Any opinions/advice is welcomed and appreciated. Thanks in advance.

 

Im sure if you modd'd the collector on the greddy to a 2.5 inch collector conecting to a 2.5inch cat with a 2.5 inch exhaust it would flow a hell of alot better then if you kept the 2.0inch colllector.

Hmm, either way, the last part of my question still stands; should i cut off the 2" in favor of a 2.5"? Will the gains be noticable enough to warrent it? And im still a little confused as to if my cat will still be able to work with the 2.5 collector if i decide to do this. Thanks for the responses guys

why don't you contact prospeed about his header for our year ludes that have a 2'5 collector and its only like 500

what do u mean by that? should the downpipe jus go right under it?
