My brothers car
Ok, he has a 1990 honda accord, and its an automatic.. The problem he has been having is that the car wont accelorate in drive, and he has to "drive it standard" shifting it as he drives.. So we did a lil testing and found that he had ECU code 20, which for honda is ELD problems.. which says "electrical load detector circuit problem" So today, I went out and looked at the car, and noticed that the radiator wire wasn't plugged into anything, and that there was another wire near it, that apears to be striped of the cap. So what I am wondering, is if you think all these problems could be caused by this wire not being plugged in? or if you have any other ideas, let me know! thanks alot!
i dun know too muc about older gen accords.....but since it was just going into the radiator, i kinda doubt thats the code ud be throwin, but like i said, i dun know too mcuh.......id get the right connector from ur honda dealership first.......regardless if thats the problem, u should fix taht anyway
OK maybe I can help. I have a '90 Accord with an automatic transaxle. I just happen to have taken the entire main fan housing out because I'm replacing the fan motor (started howling). Its no problem in the winter because the car runs cool enough that the fan rarely turns on. So, while the fan is out those "radiator wires" are hanging free, maybe just like yours. In my case this is not generating any codes or causing any problem at all. I don't know of any other "radiator wires" except maybe the A/C fan.
im not familar with honda engines or trannies but i had that same problem with my hyundai excell (hold your jokes and laughs until the end of the thread please) and it turned out to be the throttle valve cable to the tranny had come undone from the carb ( webber redline)...
