Default 2003 CBR600RR sale / swap

i'm new to this forum but it looks pretty cool from what i've read. does anyone here swap machines? i got a 2003 cbr600rr last year and am thinking about selling or trading it in. still a little undecisive but maybe i can get some ideas on this messageboard...

does anyone know why i can't upload an avatar? is it because i am a new (trail) member? when i click on avatar, it says "avatar is disabled".

thanks for any help.

yeah its cause you are a trial member. i dont think many people will want to swap bikes in general, since the paperwork should really go with the bike and thats a hassle so you're basically buying/selling 2 bikes. that and i dont want anyone raggin on my machine....

what kind of bike do you want to trade in for?

i was lookin into trading it in for a car if anything. i'll probably just post it up on the classifieds for sale. i think i'm done with sport bikes. i'm happy i got to go 150mph on 2 wheels and live to talk about it : ) it's a damn cool rush but not worth it to me at least. maybe eventually i'll get a cruiser. i've been getting into offroading with 2,3 and 4 wheelers lately. at least on the trails, all i got to worry about is trees and not the 10 billion cars here in new jersey.

i'm very indecisive. i love riding and it's one of the coolest things that i do. bikes rule. they are a little dangerous but whatever... that's the price we pay. i guess the main reason i want to get rid of the whip is because i am already itching for a new toy, and as fun as the rr is, i want something a little more comfy. i could always get a new seat too. the rocks in my back yard are more comfortable to sit on then that rr stock seat!! choosing your roads is key. who the hell wants to ride on 287 anyway. i would be all about riding on the p.c.h. if i lived out there.

hey man whatever floats your boat. i have done the turbo integra thing and i am pretty much done with that cause i am more into motorcycles than ever. i've never gone 150 even though the bike will do it no sweat. more like 115 once. still trying to master the art of motorcycling and its goign to take years to get me to the level of competency i want to achieve. so that should keep me busy for a while.

switching hobbies is cool. gotta stay interested and have fun while you can. i would be flying cessnas and mooneys if i had the $$$ and i'd have a ski boat and 2 more bikes too.

though I've hit 180 on my bike, and I'm pretty sure I won't have a car that'll do that fast for a while, I'm in the same boat kinda. I'd rather get into road racing cars, then fun riding motorcycles.

Sure it's a blast, but yeah Iowa drivers are stupid.

Not to sound like an ******* or anything, but since Iowa State University is more known for it's great engineering program, there are a lot of foreigners that attend class here... most notably oriental students.

And I'll be damned if half have a true driver's license here. it's incredible how bad they are at driving cars here. They have no clue why we have mirrors on the outside of the car... not to mention why we have speed limits over 25 mph.

So like FalconGSR said, do whatever makes you happy.

Are you ******* serious man? This has to be the most asinine thing I have ever read. You act like a jackass and get up to 180 mph on a bike, and then say how OTHER people (especially Asians) can't drive?! ******* weak man.

You too buddalish. Roll 150 and claim that other people are idiots.

Yea id say if you have that kind of nonchalant attitude, sell the bike. Please before you "pay the price."

Its only the "price you pay" for riding a motorcycle when u do idiotic speeds like that. I'd be scared shitless to go that fast. Even when i go like 15-20mph over the limit i always think what if a cop is around in the back of my mind. AFter getting your license revoked a couple times, back in the days, you start to realize how good it is to have it. I dont think i would ever have the ***** to run from a cop

Ok, I'll come pick you up from your home town, bring you here to Ames, and let you drive around for one day in a car. I guarantee you'll see understand exactly where I'm coming from.

And it's not just oriental drivers that are bad, but the majority of bad drivers in this town are. I don't care what you say or think, you talk to anyone in this town, and you're going to get the same exact response. Regardless of race, age, or religion.

I'm not trying to sound like a prejudice piece of **** here. But I do think that oriental drivers are probably not accustomed to driving here in the states, thus leading to the poor driving. (Just like how we are not accustomed to driving in other parts of the world.)

As far as going fast on my bike, or in my car, I don't have to worry about any stupid drivers on the highways outside of town. There simply isn't anyone there to get in the way.

Take this as you will, I totally didn't mean to start a race war by any means, but without actually being here in my town (Ames, IA) you have no clue what the hell I'm talking about.

And just to prove I'm not racist or whatever you all think now, one of my best friends is asian, drives a prelude and drives wonderfully.

I really don't know how a simple paragraph explaining what I see in Ames drivers automatically makes me racist/prejudice.

Haters.

I think the real fact is that most people are bad drivers, most of yer town is asian, (oriental is to describe material things) so you think many asians are bad drivers. Anyhow, back to the real post.
Trading is usually pretty hard, your best bet is to sell it and buy what you want. I was into the turbo integra thing but I just had my smog check and pulled everything off. Its sitting in my garage now and Im ready to sell it. I first started riding while just commuting, then I started stuntin' when I got my f3. Thats when I started getting into the turbo scene and out of motorcycles. Then I started riding canyons and at the track and found a whole new love for motorcycles. Before I used to just think it was about doing wheelies and endos and triple digit speeds. Once you find out what a motorcycle is really supposed to do, you find a whole new respect for it and real riders. Learn to lean it and you'll be

I lived in Korea for 15 months. Yes they drive much different! Is it bad? Not to them, but here it is wrong. I doubt you are racist, just tried to make a point, and accidentally made another point. Why is everyone so quick to call someone a RACIST?
