Well, my car was stolen yesterday and i already got it back!! The dumbasses who stole it got pulled over for racing and they were arrested!! Hehehe, i hate thieves. ANyways, in the back of my car, there was an ECU that the thieves apparently left. Why would they have a ECU with them? Its a OBD II P73, which is an ITR ECu isnt it? I think what happened is they thought my car was a 98+ ITR. Cuz its got the 98+ bumpers, painted side skitys, and 5 lug, but dont worry, no ITR stickers. Mine is a 95 GSR, but i heard on newer ones, theres some chip in the key, is this why they had a ECU with them, in case they couldnt get it started??? At least i got ot back, but i know they ragged on my car. It doesnt idle right and doesnt have much power anymore. Could this be a bent valve? I have ITR valvesprings, but my rev limit is 9.2k, is it possible to bend valves at this RPM and ITR springs? ANy help would be appreciated. Also, a bunch of my ignition wires were cut under the dash, i put them all back the way they were, but i still got some extra wires that were spliced between 2 wires, is this how they started my car?

Did you notice anything else on how they stole it? Scratch marks on the top of the door? Broken ignition? Etc..

Stock ITR springs can handle 9K...but thats pushing it..who knows how they treated it. Any CEL codes?

 

thieves are gay..they tried to steal my brother's car once..luckily they were in sight when in process...Nothing happened, they just ran away like the bastards they are..

Well, im glad to have it back. They used a very subtle technique for gaining entry into the car. I believe the specialized tool they used is called a rock Im not sure how they started it, but the ignition seems to be OK, guess they did it with jumper wires and such. Now for the worst part. I was poking around under the hod a few minutes ago and noticed somnething interesting. On the front of the block there is a stamp that says"B18C1" OMFG, last time i checked it said B18C5, holy ****, my motor, shes gone, no wonder my car feels slower, OMG, im so pissed, now i gotta find out if my insurance covers this. It just keeps on getting better, doesnt it . I need to go do something or im gonna explode with rage Now, everytime i see a Civic with a ITR motor in it, im gonna wonder, hmm is that mine??? Guess ill never know

they sure did move fast, a motor swap in one day, and time to go out racing it and get caught, besides are they that stupid to race it after putting a slower engine in it. awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, I feel your pain master.

Have the police dusted the car yet?

Yeah, they dusted it for prints, came up with nothing but mine and my GF, so must have been wearing gloves. Im not sure how anyone knew what i had under the hood, cuz i kindof kept it on the DL, for this very reason. The thing i want to know, is whos GSR this motor came from. I called the cops again, but the dective wasnt there. Hopefully ill be able to get to the bottom of this soon. I really miss my Spec Bs

 

This has to be B.S. you mean to tell me they took the trouble to take your R motor. Then insatall another motor to race it around. If you really want a B18C5 just buy one don't commit insurance fraud to get one. Just joking! Sorry to hear about your loss. I hope they meet Buba while they spend time in jail, but they probally got out two hours after they got locked up. Good luck with the insurance Co.

 

Umm...you have a GSR so B18C1 is the correct engine block unless you bought an ITR motor.

 

I bet a lot of people would think that...

I hope you made a mistake in thinking you had a B18C5, and now its a B18C1. First off if they used a rock to break into the car, they dont know **** about cars. Second no thief that was trying to steal your motor would race it. 3rd they didnt swap the motor for another one. Why would they do that? Because they wouldnt. A rookie cop can figure out this insurance fraud from a mile away.

If it was a mistake, all good. But dont tell the insurance company you had an ITR motor, or they will throw you in jail with the thieves that took your car.

This is what mad me doubt your story. I am not flaming you, I am mearly questioning some of the things you posted. Flaming would sound like this "you loser, your car sucked my *** anyways, youra big dummy head you stupid taint licker".

 

There are people on the internet that like to scam people. Lets say you want to make some money, so you setup a hotmail account with a false name and false info, You then come to Honda-Tech and advertise the Non existint GSR ECU, Some poor kid sends you a check (PO box) and you cash it. 2 weeks later this kid is still sending you E-mail to an account that you dont even go to anymore. Out of site out of mind.

Oh and, I am not james Bond, just pre-law and getting ready for the police academy.
