It's a lumbar support. I got it from Mark at On-Track, where I purchased the SRD about a year ago.
I got short legs, so I find myself slouching sometimes to reach the pedals. The support helps me to find a good compromise b/w arm and leg length. I'm an ape.

damn, I have the same problem...In the DA I can barely get to the pedals and Im 5'5", thats with the seat scooted all the way up too. Is there any way to get the seat closer? Maybe redrilling for the brackets?

It's a bit of an exaggeration, as are most of my self-deprecating remarks, but that's how I look at it.
