Can I use K&N filter cleaner and oil on Comptech filter
Actually, I think you can use the oil..
Just use water and a small bit of dish soap to clean it.. Let it air dry completely, oil, reinstall..

I use very diluted car wash soap in an old windex bottle to clean it. Then I use the K&N filter oil. I also have a K&N filter though
. My old filter wasnt though, and I still cleaned and oiled it like a K&N. I dint think it was a problem. Maybe ThegsrGuy can back his statement up, I'd like to hear why its bad..

I have heard yes and no.
I tried to use it and was not happy. The K&N Oil seems to be very dry on the foam, when compared to a traditional Uni-Filter Oil.
A mild detergent (Diluted Simple Green) should work fine as a cleaner if you don't have the Uni-filter cleaner, and I believe that Mike M has suggested that you can roll the filter in motor oil as an oiling substitute. I have yet to try it.

Yup, I always use normal motor oil after washing! I compared it once with the UniFilterOil and I think its not a big difference...
Just head on over to a motorcycle shop and ask them for a foam filter cleaner and oil.
They'll carry it 99% of the time.
