I've been seeing a couple of 04 R1's roaming the streets here in So Cal, so I want to see if anyone has been fortunate enough to take this beast for a spin. First impressions? Comments?

 

I would also like to know. 04 R1's are sweet!!

 

I dont know about other places but I dont think the 04's are coming in until around april. My dads getting the new all black 1000RR and I know that isnt coming till april either.

 

i'd get one but i'm too in love with the 1000rr, so i must wait.

 

i would also like to know how they are. I have yet to even ride anything bigger than a 600cc bike. I wonder how different it feels to ride a 1000. I gotta take my friends gsxr1000 out for a spin sometime.

the 04 R1s are out... we're still waiting for those damn 1000RRs

 

yep, saw a gorgeous 04 red r1 at the dealership. sold out already.

 

a good friend of mine just bought a blue 04 R1, he let me ride it a couple days after he got it(i was a little suprised when he asked if i wanted to)that things got some power, it wheelies so easy. its an awesome bike to ride, i had a lot of fun.

 

Pulling wheelies a couple days after he got it??? Guess he didn't worry about the break in period.

 

Great top end pull but its lacking in teh lower end mid range compared to the last r1.

 

oh he broke it in, whe went through the break in period. but it only took those few days. i was taking it easy but he was behind me in a car and he was the one telling me to do wheelies....i was like ****, okay. its your bike not mine.
