Swap Questions
I have a 1993 Honda Civic DX hatch
I am planning on putting in a 92-95 Si-R II JDM engine.
A few questions
1. Will my tranny work with engine or will I need a new one?
2. Will my axles work or will I need new ones?
3. Will my throttle cable and shift linkage work with this engine?
4. Will my stock motor mounts work?
5. To get my a/c to work all I need is 1994 del Sol bracket.
6. ANything else I am missing the engine I want come with the following...
- Motor
- Intake Manifold
- Exhaust Manifold
- Injectors
- Fuel Rail
- Throttle body
- Alternator
- Distributor
I know I will need the following
ECU (P30)
Alternator (can I use my stock one?)
Starter (can I use my stock one?)
Engine harness (can I use my current harness?)
The reason I ask is I can get a longblock for 900 plus shipping
or 2250 plus shipping for full complete swap inc. tranny
Or I can get a GSr with ITR cams, AEM gears, Skunk2 manifold and tranny for 2800. But I would need axles, shiftlinkage, throttle cable, intake and del Bracket
Which should I do, I am leaning toward long block becuase it is more affordable and for the little amount of street racing I do the torque diff is not the great to merit spending more money on gsr. The GSR dyno'd at 174 hp to wheels and 134 tq. But the mileage is unknown. Where as the b16 is around 35K (from hmotorsonline)

You'll need everything whether its B16 or B18.
