ice man is a really good intake, apparently up there with all the big brand names... a friend of mine has an ice box and yeah, it's made of the same material as your stock intake
i think the hose is for the o2 sensor? well, it's SOME sort of sensor, and even if the sensor isn't important, you don't want a hole in your intake like that, it defeats the purpose of having a filter! you don't want the dirt and grease from ur engine gettin in.... it's a small hole, but hey, who knows what can get in there?

I think that hose is supposed to the the breather for the engine's head, either it expels heat from it or air goes in to cool it off, I could be wrong, but that's what I think your talking about, right?
On Aem CAI there are 2 holes. There is the hole that connects to the hose coming out of the valve cover. I would buy a breather for that because you do not want hot air from the head to be in your intake air. So plug that hole on the intake and put a breather on the valve cover. Then there is another hole on the intake near the trottle body. This is just a hole for a vaccum hose that goes into the intake manifold. i just plugged mine up. It didnt hurt anything. You do not want any hot air or anything restricting the coldest and highest flow of air into your engine. As for the best intakes, i would recomend using the AEM CAI or INJEN CAI...they show the best on the dyno charts.
i have some more questions if i dont connect it will it cause the engine check light to come on? cuz mines did. i accendently pushed in a rubber piece into my intake what should i do? its probably sucked up and melted in that p... thing should i take it to a shop and flush my engine out will that take out the rubber? and my last question is that i went to a shop and they said just seal the whole thats on the side of the intake and put a breather on that hose will this work?

sucks to be you buddy. if it went all the way into the engine its time to pull it all apart.
